Course Approvals

NeedleNine offers a number of customized settings allowing you to align course approvals with your existing policy.

Part 61 / Part 141

Courses can be configured to allow Part 61 and/or 141 enrollment. Logged in as Chief Instructor, select Course List in left nav menu and click the three dots to open menu.

Select Edit Course and choose from modal option if you want to create a draft course or simply edit. See Course Editing article for detailed descriptions for modifying courses.

Under General Info tab, you will see option for selecting if course is approved for Part 61, Part 141 or both. Check the appropriate boxes and Save and Publish.

The course tile now displays course enrollment options for clients.

Approved Aircraft for Course

Aircraft can also be easily be approved for Part 61 and/or 141 courses. Simply click the course tile to view course and choose the Approved Aircraft tab. As Chief Instructor, you will see Edit button in section to modify aircraft approvals without editing the course content.

Select the check boxes for approved aircraft to be used when teaching this course. If course is Part 141 approved, you may select aircraft independently from Part 61 training. Once done, click the save button and all users now see approved aircraft for course.

Note: If user is trying to schedule training reservation and aircraft is not shown in dropdown, it is often because aircraft have been added to fleet but not approved to be used in desired course.
