Resetting a User Password

There are two ways to reset a user password.

  1. Self-service password recovery.
  2. Self-service password reset.
  3. Staff-assisted password reset.

Self-service password recovery

Users will have the option to recover their password from the portal login screen. Click on the Forgot Password link and type in the email address associated with their account. An email will be sent to the user with instructions to reset their password.

If the user does not know what email is associated with their account, they should reach out to their flight school’s staff who can look up their account.

Self-service password reset

Users will have the option to reset their password after they have signed in. The reset option is located on the top right of the screen by clicking on the user’s name and then Update Password. Follow the instructions to update the password

Staff-assisted password reset

A user with Staff or Customer Service privileges will have the option to reset a user’s password. To do this.

  1. Go to the User List under the Users in the left navigation
  2. Search for the user
  3. Once the user has been identified, click on the on the very right and select Reset Password
  4. Affected user should now follow the instruction in the email to reset their password

When assisting client’s with resetting their password, staff has the option to auto-generate the password, send it to the user via email, and/or require the user to reset their password after they login via checkboxes on the user interface.
